A clearly articulated story is a symbol of an educational organization’s philosophy and beliefs. It broadcasts one’s mission, vision, and values to compatible parents, students, and staff, and helps families understand the educational organization’s unique qualities. PlusUs helps educational organizations communicate clearly to their audiences through a variety of digital and analog methods.


We create a range of assets and materials that make a statement, tell a persuasive story, and encourage action. We have experience developing identity systems and brand guidelines, viewbooks, fundraising materials, reports, magazines, and more.


Our team has experience developing a wide variety of digital content, from custom applications to flagship university websites. Our work is elegant inside and out, intuitive, and secure. Our interdisciplinary team enables us to create sophisticated sites that are most meaningful to the learning communities that use them. We can develop an entire project, or assist with particular phases, such as user research and strategy, UX/UI, front-end development, mobile development, and more.


Instructional design is the creation of materials and experiences used to help people learn. They may be physical or digital, and include curriculum development, educational outreach, assessment mechanisms, and more.


We partner with schools, museums, businesses, and non-profits to develop curriculum toolkits, activities, and other resources. These products are learner-centered, inquiry-driven, and make meaningful connections to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards when necessary.


We provide professional development on design thinking in the classroom and can provide Act 48 credit in the state of Pennsylvania.


The design of a learning environment has a significant impact, either positive or negative, on the learning that occurs within it. Therefore, a 21st century learning environment must reflect the needs of modern curriculum and learning objectives. PlusUs helps clients shift from an obsolete “cells-and-bells” model to spaces that are student-centered, stimulating, and adaptable for a wide variety of use cases and users.


PlusUs works with schools to create modern learning environments. We help capture the needs of teachers, students, families, administrators, custodians (everyone!) to create a unique vision for your space. With a deep understanding of how we learn, we design your space and select appropriate furniture, fixtures, finishes, colors, technology, etc.


PlusUs uses environmental graphics to reinforce learning concepts relevant to a client’s mission, a specific exhibit, and/or national learning standards. When learners encounter these concepts in informal spaces, self-education and discovery increase.PlusUs also has experience building curriculum frameworks off of these designs, providing educators the opportunity to build the learning environment into lessons.

Our wayfinding systems prioritize clarity. These systems help people orient, locate essential landmarks or services, and navigate to them. When designing, we consider a variety of human factors, including the height and ability of users, to ensure the materials are effective as possible.
